I am proud to say that I was born and raised in beautiful Ashe County, NC and I just wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I love to travel, but I am always glad to return home. A lifetime of enjoying these scenic mountains, the New River and the many other activities Ashe County has to offer, has given me extensive knowledge of this area.
Ashe County is fast becoming a “destination”, with year round activities! Historic downtown West Jefferson is a work in progress…and beautiful, I might add! Revitalization efforts have really paid off: Arts district, shopping, dining, entertainment, Ashe County Cheese, festivals and more!! Other towns are following suit as well, including Jefferson and Lansing.
First of all, I love my family and they give me much support and pride. I am married to Calvin Green, Owner of WJ Hardware in West Jefferson, NC – a 3 generation hardware store which is still going strong!! Calvin is also in his third term as a West Jefferson Alderman. My daughter, Lisa McNeill Osborne and her husband, David, have two daughters, Madison and Hannah. My son, Chris McNeill and his wife Becky, also have two daughters, Samantha and Taylor. I also have two step-sons, Derek & Darren Green. I am very proud of all of them and never happier than when in the company of my family. …..and I can’t forget our little dog, Jaxon. He is a 5 year old Shih Tzu and is completely spoiled!! My off-duty activities include walking, gardening in the summer, shopping, several trips to the beach each year and just enjoying life, family and friends! I am also a breast cancer survivor of 25 years and I strive to support other cancer victims in our area.
My employment history started with Ashe Memorial Hospital and then on to Appalachian District Health Department, where I enjoyed 27 years. For my last 15 years there, I was Office Manager and Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths for Ashe County, NC, maintaining a registration record of one of the “top 10 counties in the state”. I traveled often between Ashe County and Raleigh, for various trainings and enjoyed my job and my co-workers very much. I retired from there in 2005.
After a while, I realized I just wasn’t ready to retire! I became Office Manager at Regency Properties and Real Estate immediately appealed to me. I became interested in obtaining my Broker license and I am very pleased to continue with Regency Properties in this capacity. Regency has a proven sales record year after year in the High Country.
AS YOU CAN SEE, I have a very strong work ethic and now I am ready to go to work for YOU! Contact me, your home town agent, and I will be happy to assist you with all of your real estate needs!
