Chris Barr

Hello!  I am Chris Barr, an Ashe County native who entered the real estate business after graduating Suma Cum Laude from Emory and Henry College with a degree in business management in 1996. I started my real estate career at Jefferson Landing, a golf and residential community located on the New River in Ashe County.  I flourished at Jefferson Landing, including my being named the top producer every year since 1997. In 2003 I branched out into the general real estate market by becoming the owner of Blue Ridge Mountain Realty.  After selling Blue Ridge Mountain Realty in 2005, I still worked part-time there while continuing to sell resort real estate at Jefferson Landing. In the spring of 08, I affliated my license with Regency Properties. I look forward to a prosperous future with Regency Properties by serving all clients with the same enthusiasm and knowledge as I have used in the past. 

My real estate philosophy is that each client is hopefully a friend for life! It's all about relationships and having the commitment to give the best service possible. Real estate purchases are large financial commitments and regardless of whether one is a first time homebuyer or seasoned investor, and regardless of the price, each transaction should be handled with the same enthusiasm and specific attention to detail.  I work by my motto: If something is worth doing, it is worth doing right! 

On a personal note, I am married to Kelly B. Barr, have two step sons, Sid and Jess, and we are expecting a girl due in June. I am an active member of and (Former) Elder of Mt. Jefferson Presbyterian Church in West Jefferson.  My hobbies include coaching youth sports, working out, snow skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with family and friends.
